Gwalia Falls, Tresaith Beach

This photograph was taken in the rain on a very wet and windy August bank holiday Monday in 2012. Gwalia Falls can be found on Tresaith Beach in Tresaith, A small coastal village about nine miles outside of Cardigan. Gwalia is an archaic Welsh name for Wales. It derives from the medieval latin Wallia, which in turn is a latinisation of the english 'Wales'. Although never as widely used as Cymru, Gwalia was once popular as a poetic name for the country.
